Dressing for the Holidays

21 Nov

Cute Christmas imageI can’t believe how fast this year has flown by.  I always heard the older you get the faster time goes.  The holidays are upon us! Is your wardrobe ready?  Whether it be an office party, a girl’s night out, a morning brunch or a dinner with family and friends, it’s important to look your very best!

Of course this time of year red is THE color to wear.  But do you know which is your best shade of red?  Notice the Hollywood Stars in the picture below and how they each have on a red gown but they are different shades of red to match their dominant color characteristics.

There is a soft color of red and a warm color of red and a bright color of red on Anne Hathaway who is a “Clear” in the middle and a deep, rich color of red on Penelope Cruz who is a “Deep” on the end.  Do you know if you should be wearing the blue-toned reds or the orange-toned reds?  It is all determined by the Dominant Color Characteristics of your hair, skin and eyes.

Here are a few pictures I found on Pinterest of some great Holiday outfits for your festive parties.

The Holiday season is a great time to step outside of your box and have a little fun playing dress up!  I hope you will find some great items to add to your wardrobe this season to make it merry and bright!

You are correct Dee! We want to go with the blue-toned reds when choosing our festive color.
