Some of My Favorite Things

Since spring has finally arrived, I have decided this week to share with you some of my favorite things for spring.  I really wish I could be like Oprah or Ellen and tell you that you each will receive all of my favorite things as soon as you read this post.  But, unfortunately, I’m not Oprah or Ellen. So I hope this will inspire you to maybe try some things you haven’t tried before and enjoy them as much as I do.

First of all, here are some of my favorite beauty products.

Essie Nail polish in “Ballet Slippers”. I am loving this color on my hands.  It is just a very pale pink that adds a little color. This eye shadow rolls on very easily and looks great on the eyes by Laura Mercier.  It comes in a variety of beautiful spring colors.  These are sold at Belk.

This mascara goes on smoothly and lengthens and thickens your eyelashes.  It is “They’re Real” by Benefit and can be found at Sephora.

This is always my “go to” color for my toes for spring and summer.  It goes with just about everything.  “Cha-Ching Cherry” by OPI.

. I have had a couple of special occasions so far this spring that I wanted a little color but didn’t have time to tan the old fashioned way.  So I have indulged in a spray tan and love it!  You can have this professionally done in a spa or use a self-tanning product on your own.  Of course, remember, this is not a real tan and you still need to use sun-screen when out in the sun to protect your skin.  It only lasts about a week but well worth it if you have a special occasion coming up.

Here are some of my favorite fashion finds for spring. One of spring’s hottest items is a colorful tote.  These are beautiful by Michael Kors and can add that pop of color to any outfit.  These can be found at Belk.

One of my favorite trends right now is the “Statement Necklace”.  I have purchased several of these in lots of different colors.  Put with a white blouse and a pair of jeans or with a fancy dress or just about anything you are wearing.

Scarves are such a great accessory no matter what the season is.  I am loving the beautiful spring colors to add a touch of glamour to my outfits. Nothing says spring and summer like a cool, clean, crisp pair of white pants.  I love the ankle length and pairing them with a bright color top or maybe a denim blouse.  

And speaking of the denim blouse… It is one of the must have items for spring.  Pair it with the white pants for a beautiful spring look!  I just bought these shoes a couple of weeks ago (Happy Birthday to me!) They are Miller Linen Strap Wedges by Lucky Brand.

 I love the denim skirt and always have.  It is a great alternative to shorts if you are like me and don’t wear shorts very often.  It can be paired with a cute tee and flat sandals for a very sporty look or pair it with heels and a more dressy blouse for dinner and a movie with your date.

I go crazy over watches and have quite a fun collection.  They are just another fun accessory that can change with your mood.  Go slim and elegant or go bold and colorful.  White is always fun for summer too.

 I love the Chico’s So Slimming jeans!  They are so comfortable and look great too.  I am really liking the ankle length with the rolled cuff this season.

  If you know me, you know I love to accessorize! I always wear a bracelet with my “life verse” from the bible on it.  Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.  It gets me through every day!

And…a few of my other favorite things this time of year…. One of my favorite places to be in the spring and summer is at the Beach!

 I love fresh fruit and it is good for you too!

    I love grilling out during this time of year and fish is one of my favorites!

 Strawberry Shortcake is one of my favorite desserts!  Of course most desserts are my favorite!!

 And of course my favorite thing to do is Shop a great Sale!!!
